Policies & Classroom Rules
This is the boring page, but it's a necessity.
If you have any questions about policies, scheduling and payments, please feel free to call or email anytime.
Policies for one day workshops
Regitration Policy
~All students planning to attend a one day workshop must call for space availability in the class of interest PRIOR TO REGISTERING.
~When using a coupon, students must register at least 14-30 days prior to the expiration of the coupon.
~Coupons will be honored as long as there is space available in the desired class.
~ The center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet minimum enrollment required. Students will receive a full refund if the center cancels the class. Coupons refunded will be another opportunity to take a class; not a cash refund.
~All classes require payment in full AND registration information(Full name, contact phone number, email, home address and coupon identification number(when applicable). Your space will not be held without payment.
Cancellation Policy
~ If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, you must call 234-9333 at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.
~ Students registered to attend a one day or two day workshop will lose all fees paid unless cancelling 24 hours prior to the date of the workshop
~ No refunds for any fees paid for any class or gift certificate at LAC
~ Classes may be made-up during other similar classes, but students must re-register for that class and prove payment and list date of cancellation to qualify as a "make-up class"
~ If no phone call is received prior to the class starting, there will be no opportunity to make up that class and the fees paid are forfeited
COUPONS & GIFT CERTIFICATES:
Coupons and Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash value.
Coupons expire 3-6 months from date of purchase or date of distribution. You may contact LAC to find out about your coupon's expiration date. Please have coupon available when calling
Coupons are applicable toward any class, ongoing classes, or private lessons(additional fees may apply).
Gift Certificates Expire 6 months from date of purchase and may be used toward any class, ongoing class or private lesson AND gifts, artwork, art cards in our gallery & giftshop.
Classroom Decorum:
LAC representatives have the right to refuse service under certain conditions: inappropriate behavior, rudeness, improperly registered, abrupt, class disruptances and other situations which create an uncomfortable atmosphere.NO SOLICITING DURING ANY CLASS
Classroom Decorum Policies are listed by the classroom door. The instructor has the right to remove any student who does not follow classroom decorum policy. Fees may not be reimbursedPrivate Lesson students
The private lesson is pre-pay and pre-register. If you can not attend during the scheduled time, please call by 9am on the date. You will forfeit all fees paid if no call is received by 9am that date and you do not show for the lesson.
If you pay for 4(or more) lessons during registration, you may choose the first date and schedule the other dates "as you go".
Lessons must be scheduled at least once a month.
Because we have to make sure our center continues to grow and support our growing art family, we ask our "ongoing students" to commit to a few simple tasks.....
Ongoing Students:
Teen and Adult Art Class Students
If you are registering as an ongoing student, you are looking to take classes at LAC for more than one consecutive month. This allows you some benefits!
In return, we ask a few simple things of you:
- Submit your current email address to receive an email reminder for class information AND payment reminders
- pay for the each month by the 30th of the month prior (i.e. November's payment is due by October 30th/late fees apply)
Any payments received past the first of the month may require a $2/day late fee OR termination of registration(we may fill your space). - Please leave the studio as you found it upon leaving your class
- a contribution toward the coffee, creamer and snacks provided
- If you plan on discontinuing classes at LAC......
PLEASE NOTIFY SANDRA PRIOR TO THE 3rd WEEK OF THE MONTH SO YOUR SPACE CAN BE FILLED FROM OUR WAITING LIST.
All of these are crucial for the center to continue to run smooth and continue to grow.
