Creative Self Care Session

Creative Self-Care Session

Restoring Your Inner Compass: A creative self-care group session, led by Sandra Sabene, author of Creating with Spirit where peace and creativity coexist and facilitator of Meditative Painting, offers an inspiring and supportive environment for growth. Here, we use simple art supplies to gently explore and foster a connection with your intuition, nurture your bond with nature, and listen to your heart compass.

This experience provides unique opportunities to reflect on the direction you choose to take, supporting you in considering next steps toward a more balanced state of well-being. You'll also explore methods for raising self-awareness and cultivating a personal practice for processing and integrating any experiences you may encounter over the weekend. This session perfectly complements your weekend as a standalone opportunity for reflection or as an extension for Meditative Painting.  No experience is needed to participate. All supplies are provided, though you may find bringing a journal helpful.

Meditative Painting at Revival 2025

Creating Your Soul Canvas

Led by: Sandra Sabene Founder of Creative Rhythms™ Liverpool Art Center and Author of Creating with Spirit

Focus: Discover the deep power of creative self-care as we create a peaceful space where creativity calms the mind and opens the heart. This session is more than just making art; it's a gentle yet powerful invitation to explore the art of letting go.

WHERE: Inspiration Tent near the RVs.

WHEN: TWO SESSION AT REVIVAL 2025

Thur. Jul. 31st 4:30-5:45pm

Fri. Aug 1st 2pm-3:30pm

During this group session, you're invited to let go of expectations, the need to be perfect, and self-judgment that might arise. We'll use art to help your mind relax, bring you more fully into the present moment, and gently connect with your inner spirit.

A main goal here is to invite opportunities to quiet that inner critic – the voice that can sometimes stop us from truly expressing ourselves. Through simple guidance, you might find ways to move past self-doubt and tap into your natural, intuitive creativity. Our aim is to help you explore getting into, and perhaps sustaining, a "flow state" for longer periods. This is that wonderful feeling where time might seem to vanish, everything feels easy, and there's a smooth connection between what you feel inside and what you create.

We'll bring together music, nature, and painting in a way that can help you explore entering this flow state. The gentle rhythm of music will fill the space, inspiring a sense of play and fluidity as you create. Hints of nature can also inspire and ground your artwork. As your brush moves across the canvas, you might find yourself worrying less about the final picture and more about the pure joy of the process. This can allow your intuition to lead the way and gently invite that inner critic to step aside.

Highlights for this Session:

  •  Creative Self-Care: Use art as a gentle way to explore peace, presence, and personal freedom.

  •  The Art of Letting Go: An invitation to explore releasing expectations, self-judgment, and the need for perfection in your creative work.

  •  Quieting the Inner Critic: Simple methods that can help quiet self-doubt and open up your natural creativity.

  •  Finding Your Flow: Designed to help you explore getting into and perhaps sustaining a state of deep focus and easy creativity.

  •  Music, Nature, and Painting: These elements are woven together to help you explore finding and keeping your flow, with music specifically fostering playful expression.

  •  Relax Your Mind, Be Present: Cultivate a calm mind and a stronger connection to the here and now.

  •  Playful Warm-up: Start with a fun, free-form activity, like dancing with pastels on large paper to music, to help get your creative energy flowing.

  •  Guided Meditation: Smoothly move from the warm-up into a meditative painting experience, inviting a deeper connection to your inner self.

  •  No Experience Needed: This journey is about the process, not the product. You don't need any art skills or "talent" to participate.

  •   All Supplies Included: Pastels, paper for warm-ups, acrylic paint, and canvas boards are all provided, so you can just show up and create.
