Closings & Cancellations

How We Notify You for All Events: In case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will announce closings and cancellations at least one hour before the scheduled class or event. Please check your email, text messages, the Liverpool Art Center Facebook page, or News Channel 9. For text alerts regarding our center's closings, you can sign up on News Channel 9's closing webpage. If you have questions about potential closings, feel free to text or call us between 9 AM and 9 PM.

Important Note: We no longer follow the Liverpool School District's cancellation schedule. Our schedule is different.

Closings for Ongoing Members

When we cancel a class for any reason, ongoing members will receive a make-up class (no refunds).

Closings for One Day Workshops, Camps, & Events

When we cancel a one-day workshop, camp, or event for any reason, students may email to receive a make-up class to be used within 60 days (no refunds). Trial period students may extend their trial by one week.

Closings for Pathfinder Events & Alternate Locations

If we cancel these events due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will issue a full refund of fees paid within 15 business days of the event. If registrants cancel for any reason, you will be offered a choice of store credit or the option to donate your fee.

Make-Up Classes for Teens & Adults (Ongoing Members Only)

Standard Make-Up Class Policy: You may make up any missed classes during other comparable scheduled classes with permission from the teacher.

To Qualify for Make-Up Classes:

  • You must be registered as an ongoing LAC Studio Member.

  • You must give advance notice of your absence prior to the start of the class, according to our cancellation policy. All communication for make-up class qualification must be submitted by email or text.

Important Details for Making Up Classes:

  • If you unenroll or do not pay a monthly fee, all accumulated make-up classes are forfeited.

  • Students have 60 days from the re-scheduled class date to make up a missed class.

  • We ask students to give a minimum 72-hour email/text notice if you are unable to attend a regular and/or a make-up class. This allows us to make that space available for others.

  • If you are leaving for any period of time (e.g., for sports, winter months), we cannot guarantee the same space in a class upon your return, and you will not be able to redeem any make-up classes accumulated as an ongoing student.

Refunds & Rescheduling

General Refund Policy: Liverpool Art Center does not offer refunds except when the center closes for any reason. Make-up classes or store credit may be offered as specified below.

Reschedule Policy (for One Day Workshops, Camps, & Events): Students who email or call to reschedule a class after registration and more than 72 hours prior to the start of the class may email to receive a make-up class to be used within 60 days (no refunds).

After the Class Date/Time & No Communication: No refunds or credits will be issued after the date/time of the event if the student attended or did not attend for any reason without prior communication.

Store Credit Application: Store credit may be applied if rescheduling the class is arranged more than 72 hours before the class date/time. Eligibility is solely at the discretion of the instructor and administration. Email your request to apply.

  1. Payment Information: Charges for any event or class will appear on your statement as "Artistic Innovations VACC LLC." PayPal charges may appear as "Liverpool Art Center."

  2. Dispute Resolution: If you have any billing disputes, please email our office directly. Communicating with us directly is often faster and more efficient than disputing through PayPal or your bank. We are committed to fairness, honesty, and accountability to our customers.

In some cases, members can change their recurring billing date if necessary.

  6. Membership Termination/Cancellation: To terminate or cancel your membership, written notification must be received by email at liverpoolartcenter@gmail.com at least two weeks (14 days) before your next scheduled payment is due to post to your account. The termination process will be completed within 14-30 days, and charges may apply. This policy does not apply if the student attends a class or event within the membership period. No refunds are issued for terminated memberships (please refer to the disclaimer agreement signed upon payment submission).

Coupons & Gift Certificates

Coupons, make-up vouchers, and gift certificates are not redeemable for cash value.

Coupons are applicable toward any class, ongoing classes, or private lessons unless otherwise stated in promotions or on specific event webpages (additional fees may apply).

Valid LAC Studio Coupons and Gift Certificates may be applied to items in the gift shop that are not on consignment (this excludes drums, flutes, and Kip’s custom gem designs).
