Art & Equine Wellness Retreat: A Fundraiser for The Haven at Skanda
Restore Your Spirit. Support a Sanctuary.
Join us for a unique day of connection at the beautiful Haven at Skanda in Cazenovia, NY. This event is more than a retreat; it is a fundraiser to support the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need.
Date: Sunday, April 26, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: 4000 Mosley Road, Cazenovia, NY
The Experience Our retreat follows a unique rotation model to ensure every guest receives an intimate, personalized experience.
Equine Connection: Step into the peaceful energy field of rescued horses. As we synchronize our breathing with theirs, we create a calming effect that melts away stress.
Meditative Art-Making: Guided by Sandra Sabene, you will explore "The Art of Letting Go." No art experience is required—just an open heart.
Community Rhythm: Experience the empowerment of community drumming, proven to build relaxation, connection, and confidence.
Healing Foods: Enjoy refreshments throughout the day and a healthy "Retreat Feast" to close out our time together.
How the Day Works
After a communal opening and safety orientation, participants will be divided into small groups to rotate through three distinct healing sessions:
Hands-on Equine Interaction: Direct connection with the horses at the farm.
The Way of the Horse: Lessons in emotional intelligence and intuitive connection.
Creative Self-Care: Meditative painting and reflection with Sandra Sabene.
