OUR SCHOLARSHIP FUND IS DEDICATED TO THE MURPHY FAMILY IN MEMORY OF OUR DEAR FRIEND AND FELLOW ARTIST. YOUR GENEROSITY WILL LIVE ON IN HIS NAME AND THE YOUNG ARTISTS THAT BENEFIT FROM THE TEEN ART PROGRAMS HE LOVED SO MUCH.

Our friend will be deeply missed and always in our hearts and memories. His beautiful smile and sense of humor brought us all closer with laughter and silliness.
As an artist, Graham was naturally gifted and motivated to make a difference with his message.
At the art center Graham was always a friend who would listen with a hug, cheer up with a quirky grin, encourage anyone who thought they weren’t good enough and brought a sweetness into the studio that we all looked forward to.
Rest in Peace. Your art family is with you always.
WHAT HAS THIS SCHOLARSHIP FUND PROVIDED FOR OUR ART COMMUNITY:
The Murphy Fund has provided young artists opportunity to attend art classes during the hardships of 2020.
The Murphy Fund has also provided training and payroll during COVID for a new teen art instructor which added two extra teen class days at the center.
3 scholarship funds annually for applicants to receive $100 in art supplies and 6 months of art classes at Liverpool Art Center
WHAT PLANS ARE NEXT FOR THIS FUND?…
Our staff and the Murphy family would like you to know that you have helped in founding a beautiful vision for helping young people struggling. Since Graham found safe haven and a place he felt comfortable to express himself, we have agreed to fund several opportunities for others to find their creative path.
Here are a few of the projects your donation has helped make possible:
• 4 summer art camp scholarships for at arts in nature center CHECK OUT THE VIDEO
The Arts in Nature Campouts for teens include: expressive arts activities for stress management, survival foraging and gardening, woodcrafts and community cooking.
• Construction of 2 workshop pavilions and a stage at arts in nature, Martville, NY
The pavilions provide work areas for the summer camps and arts in nature programs that are offered with our retreats. These secluded spaces inspire safe space for self discovery. Our 2021 stage allowed parents to enjoy an inspiring showcase on the final day of camp! HERE’S THE VIDEO
Funding for volunteers and staff for the arts in nature teen campouts.
The Murphy Fund helps feed and house the staff and volunteers for the annual events as well as the year round planning meetings which began in 2020 with the purchase of a new retreat center in Martville, NY: “Pathfinder Studio” . Our staff and vision has grown with the support of our community and your generosity.
